- Measles, Public Health Ontario (PHO). The PHO landing page for measles includes links to a weekly epidemiological summary (updated on Thursdays), a list of locations in Ontario where individuals may have been exposed to measles (updated on Tuesdays and Fridays), and an overview of routine and outbreak-related measles immunization schedules.
- Measles Webpage for Health Care Providers, Ottawa Public Health (OPH). Includes information on the assessment and management of suspect measles cases. The Public Health Alert posted on February 12th, Measles Update and Resources for Health Care Providers, has additional details on the clinical presentation, assessment, testing, and management of those suspected of having measles.
- Adult Immunization Record, Immunize Canada. Recently updated, two-page resource, providing a handy reference chart for adults. Download and use this resource to get the immunization conversation going with adult patients of all ages.
- “It might be gloves. It’s always hand hygiene”, theme for World Hand Hygiene Day, May 5th, 2025, Public Health Ontario (PHO). This year’s theme underscores the misconception that wearing gloves can replace the need for hand hygiene. Webinar designed to empower primary care providers with essential knowledge on supporting immigrant and refugee patients living with tuberculosis (TB), including insights on the immigration medical exam and TB medical surveillance process for newcomers.
- Tuberculosis in Ontario: epidemiological summary (April 2025), Public Health Ontario (PHO). April’s special edition highlights Ontario’s progress toward TB pre-elimination by 2035, with a focus on current and projected rates and the disproportionate impact on certain populations. Published quarterly to support TB surveillance across the province.
- HeatSMART Study:Spots Still Available. Join a new Health Canada-funded research study assessing a tool to help physicians and nurse practitioners (NPS) protect at-risk groups from extreme heat. Led by Drs. Bill Hogg and Sharon Johnston with the Canadian Primary Care Information Network (CPIN) in collaboration with Ottawa Public Health, the HeatSMART Study is still accepting participants to reach the goal of 100 participants. So far, 23 have joined, and over 40 are discussing the possibility of participating. An honorarium of $3,000 is offered.
