Overview
The focus of this year’s course is on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, with updates and clinical applications of the new Canadian Perinatal Mental Health guidelines. In live seminars, you will hear directly from perinatal mental health experts on how to identify, support, and treat pregnant and lactating individuals in today’s complex healthcare environment. The morning closes with a comprehensive panel of community resource providers to showcase their integral roles in the stepped care model. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions directly to perinatal psychiatrists.

Overall Learning Objectives
By the end of this conference, participants should be able to:
- Summarize recommendations from the 2024 SOGC & CANMAT Guidelines;
- Identify strategies to integrate these recommendations into their current practice, including Asking Masi for support with guideline uptake;
- Connect prospective and new parents with appropriate community resources and non-pharmacological interventions to support their mental health.
