Overview
This new RCPSC accredited self-assessment program (Section 3) online module invites healthcare providers to examine how colonization continues to contribute to health disparities for Indigenous Peoples in Canada, reflect on their role in addressing systemic inequities, and identify actionable steps they can take in their practice.

This activity is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by The Royal College Learning and Practice Improvement Unit. Overall Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Explain the ongoing impacts of colonization on the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples, including its influence on trust, access, and equity in healthcare.
- Describe the social determinants of health that shape the health outcomes of Indigenous communities.
- Reflect on your role as a healthcare provider in addressing systemic inequities (including identifying actionable steps you can take in your practice).
