Subject: Panorama Update: New Ministry of Health Patient Information Posters

Dear Colleagues,

The Ministry of Health has asked public health units to share new patient-facing information regarding changes to Panorama, Ontario’s provincial immunization information system. The Ministry is now an additional health information custodian for immunization records in Panorama, and COVID-19 vaccination records have been migrated to the system. In addition, a new web-based tool, Panorama Guided Workflow, allows health care professionals administering COVID-19 vaccines to access a patient’s immunization history in Panorama when providing care.

To support patients in understanding these changes, the Ministry has developed the attached posters in English and French and asked public health units to share them with clinicians. The posters are intended to help patients understand these changes and provide instruction on how to withdraw consent for health care providers to access their immunization history through Panorama Guided Workflow Individuals who wish to withdraw their consent can contact their local public health unit.

We kindly ask that you print and display the linked posters (Notice About Your Immunization Information in Panorama) in a location that is visible to patients and the public within your clinic. We recognize the many demands on health care professionals and appreciate your consideration of this request from the Ministry.
