As per the Ministry of Health Consumption and Treatment Services (CTS) Compliance and Enforcement Protocol, Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is mandated to conduct routine inspections, complaint-based investigations, enforcement and public reporting for Ontario Ministry of Health funded Consumption and Treatment Services (CTS) operating within the City of Ottawa. During routine inspections, OPH assesses the safe and effective disposal of needles including harm reduction materials found within a 15-meter perimeter of the CTS. Complaint-based investigations will assess compliance with the Protocol, including any necessary follow-up.
All routine inspections conducted under the CTS Compliance and Enforcement Protocol are disclosed below. Further, the results from any substantiated complaints requiring an inspection, as per the CTS Compliance and Enforcement Protocol, will also be disclosed below. All inspection reports are posted on OPH’s Public Health Inspections website for a period of two years.
